FAQ's
What exactly is air balancing and why is it important?
Balancing is essential is all buildings for many reasons. Keeping the occupants comfortable is of the most importance. All commercial buildings are designed by mechanical engineers who specify the amount of supply, return and exhaust air not only needed for each building but for each diffuser or grille installed in each room. Balancing ensures that these flow parameters are met by adjusting fan speed, and the dampers that serve each duct. Building owners also benefit from a balanced building, and in fact need it prior to occupancy. We ensure that fans are running at their optimal performance thus ensuring a longer lifespan of the HVAC equipment. Our technicians can troubleshoot specific problems such as undersized ducts, leakages, blockages, and other issues that may cause larger problems in the future. Efficient and balanced air flow is also essential to reduce the “stale air” in a building. It lowers the amount mold spores, pollen and dust particles that may be present.
How much does an air balance cost?
It really depends on the size of project and what you are looking for. Whether it be an air volume survey to troubleshoot existing issues, or a full air balance of a brand new project, we provide free estimates. All of our projects include a report of our findings, and in most cases a mechanical ducting schematic drawing.

Can my employees be present at my workplace/office during air balancing?
Yes. We do a lot of our work in already occupied buildings. We can usually perform an air balance with minimal disruption and/or noise. The instruments we use are quiet and safe, and our employees are cautious and respectful.
Do you supply new Air Handling equipment?
We do not. However, if you are looking into new equipment we have a long list of reputable colleagues, and we can help steer you in the right direction, whether it be commercial or residential applications.

How soon can I schedule an air balance?
We are usually able to book within a week upon acceptance of our quotation. However, depending on work load, waits may be up to 2-3 weeks.
